Bertsche, Katelyn Horizontal Headshot.JPG

Hey There!

Katelyn is a graduate of Taylor University, where she received her B.A. in Theatre Arts. At Taylor, she had the opportunity to develop her skills through serving in multiple areas of costuming, including a semester in which she served on the production staff as the costume shop manager and, most recently, working as the costume designer for Taylor's production of The Spitfire Grill.  Katelyn also had the privilege of interning at the Fort Wayne Civic Theatre in 2023 as a costumer and wardrobe lead for their production of Something Rotten

She is a skilled stitcher, dresser, designer, and storyteller. She is passionate about the vital role that costumes play in weaving together the story of a show and strives to create beautiful, detailed work that invites the audience in.

Creating with joy & purpose

When she isn't behind a sewing machine, Katelyn continues to tell stories from the other side of the stage as an actor. Outside of the theatre, Katelyn can be found immersing herself in the world of a good fantasy or sci-fi novel, spending quality time with her friends and family, or playing with her two mini-goldendoodles.
